Happy Stomach makes a happy heart.. 80000 souls fed
Hunger is a
for all species...
It is tragic that despite all the advancements in society, many are still not able to meet the most basic need to sustain life – food. We continue to have deaths by starvation, malnutrition and inability to have one decent meal per day, running high in the country.
To counter this hunger, Ammucare is committed to feed the hungry. Be it the street dwellers, orphans, specially challenged, homeless, old or sick people. Food, fruits and grocery distribution sevas are regularly carried out throughout the country. We have set up community kitchens under Project Khichdi to serve freshly cooked and nutritious food to the underprivileged at different locations. On days of festivals and celebration, volunteers distribute packets of snacks and sweets to the needy to make them a part of the festivity.
It is easy to overlook animals while the world struggles to eliminate hunger among humans. Ammucare is equally committed to feed the animals. We distribute kilos of fodder for the cattle, goats, camels, emus, monkeys, birds and fish at various animal shelters and care centres. Our volunteers also maintain the daily feeding and caring of strays.
