Serving Millions in Sacred Faith

Ammucare’s Annual Projects are deeply rooted in the sacred rhythms of the calendar, aligning our charitable efforts with events of immense religious and spiritual significance. Recognising that certain times of the year create unique opportunities for selfless service, we mobilise comprehensive support during major annual pilgrimages and holy festivals. By honouring these traditions, we bridge the gap between spiritual devotion and practical humanitarian aid—serving seekers, saints, and vulnerable communities as they gather in faith.

1. Ugadi Padseva (Srisailam Yatra)

Marking the auspicious occasion of the Telugu New Year, the Ugadi Yatra sees thousands of dedicated pilgrims undertaking grueling, long-distance journeys on foot to seek blessings at the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam. To support these walking devotees, the Ammucare Charitable Trust partners with the Ashraya Trust, Kurnool. Together, we establish medical camps and refreshment centers along the pilgrimage route, providing vital food, clean water, and immediate medical aid to help pilgrims complete their sacred walk in health and safety.

2. Puri Ratha Yatra Seva

The annual Ratha Yatra in Puri, Odisha, is one of the world's grandest spiritual congregations, where millions gather to witness Lord Jagannath emerge from His temple. To serve the ocean of humanity during this massive event, the Ammucare Charitable Trust sets up dedicated support camps. Our volunteers focus on safeguarding the health and stamina of the pilgrims by distributing Maha Prasad (sacred food offerings), serving cool drinking water to combat the intense summer heat, and managing first-aid stations to provide essential medical assistance to anyone in need.

3. Maha Kumbh Mela Annadan Seva

As the largest and holiest religious gathering on Earth, the Kumbh Mela brings together tens of millions of devotees, sadhus, and seekers to take a liberating holy dip in India's sacred rivers. Sustaining this enormous gathering requires massive logistical care. Ammucare steps up by conducting large-scale Annadan (free food distribution) drives throughout the festival. In the spirit of universal oneness, our kitchens run round-the-clock, serving wholesome, hot meals to saints, ascetics, and pilgrims from all walks of life.

4. Pitrupaksha Annadan

Pitrupaksha is a sacred period highly revered as a time to express gratitude and pay homage to ancestors. Spiritually, acts of charity during this period are believed to directly honor our lineage and help alleviate ancestral karma. Ammucare channels this spiritual significance into widespread physical impact by organizing extensive Annadan drives. We extend food offerings and charity not only to revered saints and families in need but also to stray animals and birds, ensuring that every layer of creation is fed and honored.

5. Ayyappa Padseva (Sabarimala Pilgrimage)

The annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala in Kerala demands immense mental and physical endurance, as devotees brave rugged forest terrain and steep mountains on foot. Through the Ayyappa Padseva initiative, Ammucare volunteers offer vital relief to these weary pilgrims. Our camps feature therapeutic foot massages to ease muscle fatigue, alongside the distribution of nutritious food, clean drinking water, and targeted medical assistance to help them safely reach the holy steps of Lord Ayyappa.
