Puri Rathyatra Seva

Sustaining the Steps of Faith.

Program Locations

  • Puri, Odisha - India

During the magnificent annual Ratha Yatra festival in Puri, Odisha, the Ammucare Charitable Trust establishes extensive on-ground relief operations right at the heart of the action near the Gundicha Temple. As millions of devout pilgrims gather to witness Lord Jagannath’s sacred journey, our dedicated volunteers work untiringly to manage the intense logistics of care required for a congregation of this scale.

Ammucare's extensive seva (selfless service) is specifically designed to support devotees as they brave the harsh coastal humidity, intense heat, and massive crowds during the 12-day festival. Operating directly at ground zero, our relief camps provide a vital lifeline to the public, successfully distributing thousands of bottles of clean drinking water to prevent dehydration and running dedicated first-aid stations that dispense crucial medical aid and essential medicines. Furthermore, volunteers honor the spiritual spirit of the festival by distributing Maha Prasad (sacred food offerings), ensuring that every pilgrim is nourished both physically and spiritually as they celebrate this holy event.
