Daily Annadan at Shirdi
Operating in the sacred land of Sai Baba—the master who exemplified the ultimate spirit of Annadan—Ammucare’s daily food distribution program in Shirdi carries a deeply profound purpose. Rather than operating from a fixed shelter, our volunteers take the spirit of service directly to the doorsteps of those who need it most, conducting daily food distribution drives across local slums and underserved neighborhoods.
Sai Baba famously taught that feeding the hungry is the highest form of worship, declaring that any food offered to a hungry being reaches the Divine directly.
Honouring this timeless legacy, our teams distribute fresh, wholesome, and hygienically prepared meals completely free of charge to daily wage workers, marginalized families, and children living in vulnerable conditions. By bringing consistent, dignified nourishment directly into these underserved communities, this daily initiative transforms the simple act of feeding into a living expression of Baba’s enduring message of unconditional love, compassion, and universal care.
