We are grateful for your support. This policy explains how donations are handled and the limited circumstances in which a refund is possible.
1. Donations are voluntary
Every donation to Ammucare Charitable Trust is a voluntary gift towards our charitable work. Because gifts are put to work funding meals, learning, care and relief, donations are, as a rule, non-refundable.
2. When a refund may be made
We understand that mistakes happen online. We will consider a refund where:
- you were charged more than once for the same donation (a duplicate transaction);
- you were charged an amount different from the one you intended, due to a technical error;
- a payment was made in error or without authorisation.
3. How to request a refund
Write to us at info@ammucare.org within [7] days of the transaction, with your name, the donation amount, the date and the transaction or payment reference. We may ask for reasonable proof of the payment.
4. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through our payment gateway, Razorpay. Once approved, the amount is usually credited back within seven working days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
5. Tax receipts
If a donation for which an 80G receipt has already been issued is refunded, the receipt stands cancelled, and the refunded amount may not be claimed as a deduction. Please do not claim a deduction on a refunded donation.
6. Monthly and recurring gifts
If you have set up a recurring monthly donation, you may cancel future instalments at any time by writing to info@ammucare.org. Instalments already collected and applied to our work are non-refundable, subject to section 2.
7. Foreign contributions
Contributions received from outside India are governed by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. Refunds of foreign contributions, where permitted, are made in accordance with that Act.
