Winter Relief: Blanket Distribution Drive

When the biting cold of winter sets in, thousands of unhoused individuals and underprivileged families face dropping temperatures without basic shelter or warmth. Ammucare’s Winter Relief project steps in during these crucial months to distribute high-quality, heavy-duty blankets to those sleeping on streets, in temporary shelters, or in poorly insulated homes. This simple act of care goes beyond providing physical warmth—it offers dignity, protects health, and saves lives during the coldest nights of the year.

Summer Relief: Act Feathers

As summer temperatures soar to extreme highs, urban and rural birds face a silent crisis: severe dehydration due to disappearing natural water sources. Through the Act Feathers initiative, Ammucare encourages communities to coexist compassionately with nature. We distribute and place specially crafted earthen water bowls in balconies, gardens, rooftops, and on tree branches. These clay bowls keep water naturally cool, providing a lifeline for birds to drink and bathe, preserving biodiversity when the heat is at its peak.

Summer Relief: Project Jal

The scorching summer heat doesn't just impact us; it poses a severe threat to stray animals, cattle, and local wildlife roaming miles in search of a single drop of water. Project Jal is Ammucare’s dedicated summer water intervention for animals. By setting up large, sturdy water troughs in key community areas, at street corners, and near grazing fields, we ensure that stray dogs, cats, cows, and other animals have round-the-clock access to clean drinking water, preventing heatstroke and dehydration-related fatalities.
