Commencement of Project

We are delighted to share that the commencement poojas (ritual ceremonies) at the Mohanji Home for Seniors in Tiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu, India) were completed successfully, and activities are due to commence from 1st September, 2021.

A home for elderly.. Built with love & care
On the auspicious day of Basant Panchami (onset of spring) 29th January 2020, the inauguration ceremony for the “Mohanji Home for Seniors” project in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu was held. This home is being set up to provide a secure abode for destitute and elderly people, many who have been abandoned by society. This home will provide them with love, care and dignity besides the basic necessities of food and medical care.
The project was inaugurated by Dr PK Namboodiri, father of Mohanji the first president and a longstanding pillar of Ammucare Charitable Trust. He was accompanied by Snehajyothi Amma, a 87-year old German lady who lives in Tiruvannamalai now. Amma’s mother was the key person who took Ramana Maharishi’s teachings to Germany. Mr TR Gopalakrishnan, a retired senior shipping executive from Chennai and a kind hearted person, was an esteemed guest too.
